On the first day the guest will travel from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit, the safari tour starts with a short 1-hour flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Hoedspruit at 10:30am or 12:30pm. Your guide will be at HDS Airport to meet and greet, followed by a short transfer to the lodge We will aim to have you at the lodge around mid-day, you will have lunch after check-in and go on your first game drive in the afternoon. Main Destination: Hoedspruit (Town) Accommodation: Rafiki Bush Lodge • Luxury lodge located in or near Hoedspruit Meals & Drinks Included: Lunch and Dinner & Non-alcoholic drinks.
On day 2 you will start your day with breakfast at the lodge and after depart with your guide for a private Panorama Tour. The viewpoints this tour will cover are Graskop Gorge, God’s Window, Bourke’s Potholes, Three Rondavels, Lisbon Falls and Berlin Falls. You will have your lunch en-route at one of the view points and return at the lodge late afternoon.
Early this morning you will depart in an open safari vehicle for an exciting day trip into Kruger National Park. You will get to the gate at sunrise and enter through Orpen Gate in the central region of Kruger. The area that you will spend the day in is a fantastic area and wildlife sightings here are excellent. It is the Savannah grassland biome of the park and this area has lots of open grasslands that attract many grazing animals. This is also the predator capital of the park and offer the best chances of finding lion in Kruger. You will have a packed picnic breakfast to enjoy in the morning as you slowly wind your way through the bush. If you are lucky, you may find a leopard in the early morning. You will stop for lunch at Satara Rest Camp and after this you will spend the afternoon in search of some more exciting wildlife encounters. You will return to Hoedspruit in the late afternoon and enjoy a flavourful meal at the lodge.
The morning starts with a wakeup call from your guide followed by fresh coffee and tea and then head out on the morning safari. Midway through the drive there will be a coffee stop in the bush enjoying the bush veld views. Upon returning to the lodge the chef will prepare a sumptuous brunch to welcome the guests back. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure before meeting your guide late afternoon for a second safari adventure for the day. You will go on game drive before sunset and do a night game drive in search for nocturnal animals. Keep in mind the option to switching out the morning drive for a horse-riding trail or an adventurous bush walk. The guests will return to the lodge every evening to a blazing African atmosphere enjoying dinner under the stars.
On the last day of the safari tour you will have one more chance to enjoy the African bush before their return to Johannesburg, you can choose between a morning walk or horse-riding safari trail. Breakfast will be served as usual when returning from morning activity or bush walk. Check-out will be at 11h00 followed by a transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg.
